Bill Matthews CEO and Chairman
Dr. Matthews is a Founder, CEO and Chairman of Leuchemix, Inc. Prior to Founding Leuchemix, Dr. Matthews served as the President and CEO of Deltagen. Dr. Matthews received his Ph.D. in cell biology from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, followed by postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Princeton University. While at Harvard, Dr. Matthews studied mechanisms of protein degradation in the laboratory of Dr. Alfred Goldberg. At Princeton, Dr. Matthews conducted research on hematopoietic stem cell development in the laboratory of Dr. Ihor Lemishka. Prior to founding the Company, Dr. Matthews worked at Genentech, Inc. (NASDAQ: DNA), where he established and ran a program in stem cell biology.

Amit Kumar, Ph.D.
Dr. Kumar has been President and CEO of CombiMatrix Corporation (NASDAQ: CBMX) since September 2001. He has been a Director since September 2000. Previously, Dr. Kumar was Vice President of Life Sciences of Acacia Research Corp. (NASDAQ: ACRI). From January 1999 to February 2000, Dr. Kumar was the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Signature BioSciences, Inc., a life science company developing technology for advanced research in genomics, proteomics and drug discovery. From January 1998 to December 1999, Dr. Kumar was an Entrepreneur in Residence with Oak Investment Partners, a venture capital firm. From October 1996 to January 1998, Dr. Kumar was a Senior Manager at IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDXX), a biotechnology company. From October 1993 to September 1996, Dr. Kumar was Head of Research & Development for Idetek Corporation, which was later acquired by Idexx Laboratories, Inc. Dr. Kumar received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Occidental College. After joint studies at Stanford University and the California Institute of Technology, he received his Ph.D. from Caltech in 1991. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University in 1993.

Christopher S. Henney, Ph.D., D.Sc.
Christopher S. Henney, Ph.D., D.Sc., a respected scientist and leader in the biotechnology industry for over two decades, co-founded ICOS Corporation (NASDAQ: ICOS), a publicly-held biotechnology company, where from 1989 to 1995, he served as executive vice president, scientific director and director. Dr. Henney also co-founded Immunex Corporation, which was a publicly-held biotechnology company acquired by Amgen Corporation (NASDAQ: AMGN) in July 2002 for approx. $9.6 billion, where from 1981 to 1989, he held various positions, including director, vice chairman and scientific director. Dr. Henney also served as chairman at Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ: DNDN) and was chief executive from 1995 to 2002. Dr. Henney is a former academic immunologist. He currently serves as chairman of Xcyte Therapies, Inc., and as a director of Biomira, Inc. and Bionomics Ltd. Dr. Henney received a D.Sc. for his contributions to Immunology, a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology and a B.Sc. with Honors, from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Roger L. Whiting, Ph.D.
Roger L. Whiting, Ph.D., is a founder and, since October 1999, the President and Chief Scientific Officer of Roxro Pharma LLC, a pharmaceutical company. From July 1995 to September 1999, Dr. Whiting was the Senior Vice President of the Neurobiology Business Unit of Roche Bioscience, a division of Syntex (U.S.A.) Inc., a pharmaceutical research company. Dr. Whiting received a bachelor's degree from the University of Bradford, UK and his Ph.D. from Aston University, UK.
